As a general rule: If your policy ends in PPO, you are eligible to choose any dentist you like.
We are in-network for Delta Dental Premier, Metlife Dental, and Cigna PPO RADIUS network. (Please note that Cigna has 2 PPO networks- RADIUS & CORE). But don't worry if you have a different insurance company. Many times policy holders have the opportunity to choose any dentist they like. Our front office will file to all insurance companies. As a general rule: If your policy ends in PPO, you are eligible to choose any dentist you like. If you have any questions about what your insurance policy will allow, just ask our front office. How do I know what will be covered?
Every insurance policy is different, and it is very difficult to accurately predict what an insurance company will pay. When we schedule your first appointment, we will contact your insurance company for a generalized breakdown of benefits. After Dr. Myers completes your initial consultation, we use this insurance information to prepare a treatment estimate. However, any treatment cost can be denied at any time by the insurance company due to individual policy limitations. The best thing for a patient to do is request our front office staff to send a Pre-Treatment Estimate to your insurance company for the treatment recommended. Do note: Please be ready to pursue treatment within 2-3 months of requesting the Pre-Treatment Estimate to avoid issues with your insurance company's coverage for future treatment.
How It's Calculated
We contact your insurance provider for a general overview of your dental benefits. This allows our front office staff to estimate what the insurance company should cover and the estimated patient's portion. At the conclusion of your dental visit, our front office will collect the estimated patient's portion and send the claim to your insurance company. Insurance claims usually take about four weeks to process. The insurance company will mail our office a payment for your claim, and if there is any remaining balance on your account a statement will be mailed to you.
Accepted Payment Options
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept FSA/HSA cards and will provide you with detailed receipts in order to insure proper filing. We partner with CareCredit to provide our patients with no interest payment plans.
